thanks Karson and Eddie. Actually made the Walnut box before the oak one. I used a 3/16” drill for the hing pin and thought I would use a pair of copper rivets for pins. Never liked the looks after it after I was done. Finally ordered a 3/16 brass rod and finished it yesterday.

Very nice work. The small details like the corners are outstanding. Had to sit and look at them for a while

Realy beautiful boxes. I like those top corners on second box.Rounded edges with dovetails are looking great.

Thanks guys. I hope to make another soon. I have piece of rather plain Spanish cedar I’m think about using on the next piece.
Really nice aroma. considering pairing it up with some Wenge splines and going from there.
