Wow, it’s been a long time since I’ve posted here! I posted this over at Home Refurbers too, but nobody reads that any more so I figured I’d throw this up here. The bathroom is a remodeling project that’s gone on for over a year now, what with life intruding in some pretty heavy ways, and I’m still working on the bathroom vanity, but there’s a little progress on it:

The face is 2” thick cherry, which will be carved, so I had to modify the clamp for my dovetail jig to hold it in place while I cut the dovetails:

And then the top is an inset sink into a block of the same marble we used for the diagonal pattern:

Because the inside of vanities can be super nasty, the side is a louvered panel to provide airflow:

And the drawer is notched to fit around the drain:

The front of the vanity is carved:

And then I had to carefully plane to fit the whole thing into the hole in the tile:

Notching the drawer to fit around the drain is BRILLIANT! So much waster space under a sink because of the pipes. GREAT JOB. Thanks for posting.
