So another Bodega Bay Wooden Boat Challenge has come and gone, and I was looking at my profile to dig up some links to send to some folks, and saw that my last entry here was announcing last year’s win. I’ve been trying to participate in the discussions here, but (and you can just scroll down for the pictures)...
The main thing is that having a full-time job sucks up all the time. Well, okay, having a full-time job and spending several nights a week square dancing (our new hobby) sucks up all the time. But we have managed a few woodworking-ish things this last year, I built a little coffee grinder for work, we made some progress on our kitchen remodel, I experimented with a motif to accent our backyard gates (not sure that one reads). And carved some hands for a Halloween costume.
And built a small sailboat for kicks one afternoon and won the Bodega Bay Wooden Boat Challenge 2014.
