Just moved (6/11) from one half of a two-car garage to one third of a three car garage. Still setting everything up. Somehow a box of air hoses and electrical cords went missing in the move. Amazing how inconvenient this is.

The biggest challenge is manuvering around all the moving boxes stashed in the garage.

I was sure to finish up any projects prior to the move. Haven’t gotten to the point to take on any new projects yet.

Also, my wife made me swear off any major projects around Christmas time. The last two years running I’ve done major kitchen remodels for family which consumed all my extra time around the holidays.
Perhaps I’ll try something small after the new year. She’s been wanting a jewelry box.

Good luck on your move and I hope that it all goes well. Welcome to Lumberjocks.

Next step is insulating the Attic and the Roll up doors… Not looking forward to doing it, but sure looking forward to having it!

Well, I’ve been making steady progress. I replaced my air lines and filters that went AWOL from the move. I don’t remember it costing so much last time. I added a nice hose roll up thingy which I hope will keep my lines off the floor when not in use. I hated walking on those all the time.

The weather has been nice in Phoenix lately and it won’t really get too cold for a while yet, so the insulation has been post poned. We’ll get about 3 weeks of sub-32 degree mornings, but after that it will be gorgeous until summer.

I have my first commission in the new place which will be fairly simple. It’s an Office Bar cabinet out of Macassar Ebony with some Stainless Steel and Granite accents and a thick glass bar top.

The pressure is on the get the moving boxes out of the way. I installed some shelving above the garage doors (I have 10ft ceilings in there which is nice). I really can barely walk through the place, let alone set up to assemble this thing in there. Somethings gotta give—and fast. I quoted a four week lead on the job and I’m still working full-time for someone else.

The hardest part will be the full-fill high gloss finish they want. Yippee! (sarcasm intended)

Murphy is alive and well!

My wife had me get down all the Christmas boxes so she could decorate the tree.
Lo and behold among the Christmas boxes in an unmarked box were my air hoses, filters and extension cords.

I knew that all I had to do to find them would be to go out and replace them.

Isn’t that just how it goes?

Just added the Jet table saw this last weekend. It was quite the chore to clean up enough to make room for it.

As you can see by the mess in the pics, I have a lot of organizing to go yet. The DC is still packed up from the move and the boxes seem to grow instead of diminish.

I’ll get there eventually.
