I found a combination Military Retirement Case/Flag Case among recent projects. It had 2 comments and too few views. When I reflected on the project, I felt shame. The project represented a long distinguished military career given in service to our Country.

As a community, let’s make a view and a “salute, thank you for your service, or sorry for your loss” a LJS tradition. Even if it’s a gift or commission, imagine delivering a project and saying, “I represent a large woodworking community, our members sent their respects, gratitude or condolences with this case.”

I agree wholeheartedly and have trying to include one of your statements anytime it’s clear the person who post is in or has been in the service. Thanks for promoting this fine idea.

DJ, You are one of the “good guys” here. I second your motion and will try to do better.

Proud of and grateful to my brother LJs for answering the call. The number of views for combination military retirement\flag case jumped up. I noticed a Ranger patch in that case, some of toughest combat duty in the Army. Prayers that all our sons and daughters return save and sound.

I agree 110% DJ. I always try to thank and/or console all of our military guys n gals for their service and sacrifice. Without them, we’d be up a creek w/no paddle
