As a young man I was apprenticed as a joiner and fitter but choose to go the route of a public works inspector which I did for 40 years before arthritis and wear and tear force me too retire.
Currently I am Granpa to the rescue, honey can you take care of this today, and Dad can you do this for me. But when i am free I can be found in my workshop pittling around. Trying to get back skills that I once had in woodworking. Right now I spend the most time working on fine tuning the tools I find either on sale, at garage sales, carigslist or pawnshops.
Either way I am trying to make time to spend more time in the shop.
