WMA born 1952. Was not very good in wood shop in high school as the love was not there. I went the way of technology and made it my career. As I got older body parts started aching so I had to sell the motorcycle as I could no longer ride. Used the money to build a small 20 by 30 foot shop. Wish I would of made it 40 by 40 as I have the room. Any way the love of wood finally came and I decided to drop my electronics hobby of over 50 years and get into wood.
Wood does not blue screen. Wood does not short out, Wood does not get you pissed off because it wont start for some ungodly reason.
Wood was designed and built by the best engineer and has no failure except those caused by man. Wood is beautiful. I cannot say that a resistor is beautiful. Look at that capacitor and its graceful lines. Now that is one beautuful integrated circuit. But the lines of grain in a piece of wood can be a very beautiful sight. Wood is a pleasure to work with and the results can be stunning. Almost a Zen like experiance. Well that is what I think of wood. It also does not talk back like my exwife. ha ha

porter cable 6 inch jointer planer. Table warped due to temp changes. Only had it for 6 months. I am bringing it back and will get my money refunded. worked beautiful before it got cold. Then the table got screwy. Unacceptable in my shop so I just bought a Jet 6 inch unit. How many times must I learn the lesson that you only get what you pay for and there is no such thing as a free lunch.
