Welcome to America! You will learn that America is exceptional not because we are better humans but, because we struggled to changed 5000 years of recorded history. How so? For the first time in recorded history, specifically in 1776, we decided, through a Declaration of Independence, that We The People are better suited than statists to govern ourselves. This is a concept of exceptionalism that escapes most indoctrinated Americans today but, as you are coming from a formerly east block (Warsaw Pac) country, this is a place where it is your citizenship duty to remain a FREE citizen and guard against the tyranny of government through your educated vote. Vote wisely. Your English is good enough already and your woodworking talent will grow consistent with your passion to create with your hands. Welcome to LJs! By the way, I have been to Prague and it is beautiful. It was the best destination to visit in all of Europe. The spirit of Freedom in the Czech Republic is greater than in America today. That should alarm everyone in America but, sadly it doesn’t. Former eastern Europeans in America are our best hope to explain the evils of the tyranny of government.
