I was flattered with the responses to my posted project Super-Gripper shopmade pusher (it went to TOP 3). So, figured I would elaborate a little on this jig.
It is an awesome pusher for the repetitive cuts, especially on the very narrow planks. It makes the task safe, easy and easily repeatable . It also significantly cuts back on the fine dust that flies to you face during the ripping operation, especially if you have a dust collector hooked up to the saw (the lower chamber).
The build of the jig can be simplified even further, I admit, I was trying to be a bit fancy:) You can build it for under $15. And if you already have the T-slot and the T-bolts—you are pretty much set.
I tried to keep it as simple as possible for this Jig. I already built the Mark II that is more advanced and involves a little of plexiglass bending/milling. So, the Mark II can do everything the Deluxe model Grr-ripper can. I will hopefully post that video on my channel next week.
Thank you for you attention!
Anyway, here is a 3.5 min. video how I made the Mark I.
