I have been doing decorative concrete for nine years now but always had an interest in wood working. I would do the odd project now and again with wood but mainly stuck with concrete. However, recently I had an opportunity to purchase a woodmizer to begin a new adventure in sawing lumber.
Though it is only a hobby right now I am looking to perhaps make it more than just a hobby. I am currently sawing up a couple dozen trees from a land clearing project and also a few from blowdowns around my property. I am building a solar kiln to be able to dry my own lumber with the ultimate goal of trying to make my own hardwood flooring out of honeylocust.
I have a lot to learn about every part of wood working and very much looking forward to learning it. This site is amazing for the wealth of knowledge and how helpful people for people with the desire to work with wood but lacking the experience. Thanks to everyone who helps me and hopefully someday I will be able to repay the favor.
