OMG! This is the first review video I’ve ever found by someone who actually purchased it! Thank you! It’s been infuriating for me to watch literally dozens of videos where the first sentence out of their mouth was “Inventables contacted me and asked if I’d like a free X-Carve in exchange for an honest review.” As much as I like and respect what the Inventables team is doing, that’s been extremely frustrating for someone who has been very active on the forum, won several of their contests, but can’t quite afford to pull the trigger to get one. Sorry for the rant, I’m just so happy to see someone with some skin in the game join the club. Nice video BTW!

Are you on the forum? I’m MidnightMaker. When are you going to do a video on the cabinet in your avatar?

I love my X-Carve. If you tune it correctly and ensure that it is placed on a solid flat surface it will perform well. I also did the X axis stiffening mentioned in the Inventables forums.

Here are several projects I’ve done with my X-Carve:

I’m glad you appreciate that I actually purchased my X-carve. I did lots of research and it seems to be the best value in CNC machines by several thousand dollars. I wanted an inexpensive machine as a learning tool. So far I like the potential X-carve brings, but I am also struggling with a few things (mostly software limitations). Look for a future video with all my conclusions.

Have your say...
