Here is the third and final piece(s) of three for my daughter’s bedroom, a pair of knick-knack shelves.

Same design, materials and finish as the other two pieces:

and

material: birch ply w/pine screen moulding to cover the edges.
finish: Minwax Red Mahogany w/ 2 coats of gloss poly

About 36” w x 8” h x 6” d.

I went to the trouble of routing out a recess for key-hole hangers so they sit flush to the wall.

There are a couple mistakes, in each of the four peices, but all in all I’m pleased with how they turned out.

I’ve been working on the project that seems like it will never end. A wall unit with 10 drawers.
Since I will need to dado 40 drawer parts for the bottoms, I figured I should finish my router table.

Top is melamine, t-track from Hartville Tool, up the road (literaly).
It is currently mounted on the cabinate I recycled and place my miter saw on.
Based rufly on plans from shop notes for a bench top router table.

We will see how it works when I’m ready to build all the drawers.

I turned a discarder cabinate into a stand for my miter saw.
I’ve had the cabinate in my garage for year, with the thought of refinishing it, my wife nixed that idea.
The top had screws poking out of it, and the doors were broken.
Added some casters and now I don’t have to use my miter saw on the floor.

My Valentines Day gift for my wife this year.

The Quote is by French Poet Rosemonde Gerard.

I carved this using my Dremel with in the router base.
The wood is poplar, with a cherry stain. 5.5” by 10”

I started by printing the qoute from MS word, then I covered the board with blue painter’s tabe. I glued the paper to the tape. Next I carefully cut out the letters with an xacto knife, then just carefully carved out the letters.

Basket Lid

My mother-in-law wanted a lid to use as a table topper for a very large basket that she has in her living room.
The top is 3’ in diameter. It was cut from plywood using a router, straight bit and a homemade circle cutter. I applied edge banding and finished with a natural stain and polyurethane.

If I had to do over again, I would build a better circle cutter jig (I used a piece of acrylic and it was not’ that good).
