I think it is so amazing that so many different and beautiful things can be produced with wood. I first began buying the usual table saw, router, then came the jointer/planer, shortly followed by a drill press. Then all of a sudden hand tools grabbed my attention and I realized how much more satisfaction is achieved after building something independent of a machine or electricity. So now I am in the phase of aquiring hand tools and putting together my one car garage workshop. Thats just a short run-down of my woodworking history to give you a general idea.

Welcome to Lumberjocks. The projects are an inspiration, the information is priceless and the people are supportive. The only problem is, the site can get addictive.

God Bless

Hi there,
Welcome to LumberJocks… I joined the site myself almost a year ago and will give you fair warning, this site is VERY ADDICTIVE, VERY EDUCATIONAL, and VERY FUN…. so sit back, enjoy the ride and learn from the other LJ’s as they are a group of extremely talented people that are also very friendly…

Enjoy your time here on LJ and pass the word to any of your woodworking buddies about us…
