The workshop is a simple setup. I am limited to one car port in a three car garage. I spent a month or two thinking, working and reworking the design. Integral to the shop: a two stage dust collection system connected to a Delta 2½ horsepower dust collector, an extended wall mounted metal lumber rack from Rockler, a sliding compound miter station with a Bosch 12” Dual-Bevel Glide Miter Saw (GCM12SD) and Kreg Precision Trak & Stop System, a Sjobergs Elite 2500 Workbench plus Cabinet Combo cabinetmakers’ workbench, a table saw, a movable router table on locking casters, a floor standing drill press, a movable combination jointer planer on locking casters, a bench grinder and a band saw. A series of low-hanging shatter-proof energy efficient shop lights with heavy duty chains are a must. I picked these up at Wally World. Additional tools include: Lei-Neilson Tools (planes and chisels), Hock planes and Stanley Sweetheart tools. The workshop build should be complete by December 2013.
