HF DC - 21 replies
I know the 2Hp is on sale right now for $139.00 and there is a 20% off coupon in Wood mag. Don’t know whether they will take it also on the DC. Everyone raves about the 2HP HF DC but does anyone have any experience with their 3HP one? Is it worth the extra bucks?

LVL workbench - 4 replies
I finally started my workbench. I had an LVL left over from when I built my house and took some of the ideas from the Popular Woodworking bench. Also some of the design came from the 21st Century bench. That LVL planed really nice in my Dewalt 735 but sure is a pain to cut the mortises. I added a shelf from some leftover barn board, now for the ...

DC piping - 4 replies
Ok I’ve realized I can’t afford the cyclone yet so after countless raves about the HF DC I’m going to bite the bullet. On a cyclone they recommend 4 to 5’ of straight pipe out of the DC before any bends or tees, is that true with non cyclone DC’s?

Smoked DC - 6 replies
My little Jet DC650 just went up in smoke. I checked on a new motor for it, you know they make them things out of solid gold now. I need something small until I can find the bucks for a cyclone, so my question is anyone see a sale or coupons for the HF DC? I hear nothing but good things about this one.

All these tool cases....? - 14 replies
As I was checking out to see what everyone was up to, I looked at Greedo’s shop cabinets, very nice work. In one of his photos, I noticed all the plastic tool cases. They sure do collect, what do you do with yours, store your tools, pitch them, or use them some other way?

Band saw blade - 6 replies
I ‘m thinking of getting into resawing. I have a 60 year old Delta 14 inch and I’m getting ready to refurb it. My question is how wide a blade can I use on it and will this saw even work for resawing? Been laidoff quite awhile so there’s not much money floating around.

Shop projects - 10 replies
Sometimes I feel like I spend more time building jigs and storage and other projects that are just to make life easier in the shop than woodworking projects; furniture, toys, whatever. Do any of you feel the same way?
