I was sharing with him all the different projects and there designs. One project came to mind, it is a cabinet on legs and on top was a can made out of wood with a paint spill running down the side, all made in wood. Does anyone ... |

Black paint and oak stain - 7 replies I was watching “Overhauling” another of my obsessions, old cars and trucks. In one show they were overhauling a 54 Ford truck. The wooden bed was finished by painting first with black paint, wiping off with acetone, and then staining with golden oak. Has anyone tried this before and what were your results? Looked pretty sharp. |

Checked it out today and at first was not impressed as I walked up to a barn that had seen better days and that has a dirt floor. 3 phase converters - 7 replies I know this has probably been discussed, but this just boggles my mind. I’m looking at getting a lathe that is 3 phase and it needs a 1-3 hp phase converter. This might be the only 3 phase tool that I would buy. (Yeah right) My question is, what’s the difference from a rotary and static converter? And is one better than the other? |
