The other day I got a call from a buddy of mine named Von Hatcher. Von used to sell framing lumber back when I framed houses. Anyway, he said he went to work for Suawnee Lumber and that I should come check it out. I had some time Friday so I did. While I was there drooling over all that lumber, I got to talking to another customer there. It turned out he was a fellow lumber jock and was following this blog!! I thought that was really cool! Hopefully, my new buddy Ryan and I can get together and discuss important shop stuff here pretty soon. Oh, and if you live in North Ga. and need some hardwood give Von a call they have got some really good prices over there.

Well, I haven’t gotten as far this weekend as I wanted to but I am making some progress. Also, another good thing is that I haven’t had any out of the ordinary mistakes. I think blogging about is helping me to do a better job than I would have because it helps me to not get in so much of a hurry.
I’ve got all my mortises layed out.

Here I have all my holes drilled and am ready to do some more chopping.

I finally have all my mortises finished.

It’s starting to look like something now.

While the glue dries, I start working on the tenons.

Well, it will probably be a week or two before I post anything else. My sons first football game is Saturday. Which is also opening day of bow season. So, I might get a little distracted.
