Part 2: Phase II - Let the Milling Begin!

After about 135 hours of designing and collaborating, I made the purchases of the sheet goods and rough hardwood lumber. The first challenge was, “Where the heck am I going to store this while milling?” I bought 3/4” and 1/4” Maple ply, prefinished. I am truly looking forward to working with the Purple Heart lumber, knowing full-well that it will take its toll on my tools. Part 3: Project within a Project - Cabinet Doors

How in the world did over 200 days pass by since my last entry?! Wow. Yes – I’m still working on this project. Yes – the clients are still my very good friends (bless them!). Yes – I still look forward to Sundays in my “shop”. The carcasses are done and have been hanging out in my (still unfinished) master closet. Part 4: Project Wrap-Up

It’s now February and the project was installed and completed in November of 2013. I have since recovered and have five new projects lined up, one being my own Master Bedroom Closet, which has been waiting for three years now… But I digress. The Built in Library Wall is by far the most involved piece I’ve ever built. What a blast!
