I have a very diverse background. I was a street artist for many years on the wharf in San Francisco. I then traveled the U.S. for a year doing craft shows and selling to boutiques around the country. I then, while living in San Antonio, Texas, became a Certified Auto Mechanic. I returned to the Bay Area and opened an Auto Mechanic shop, where I repaired specialized in Japanese, German and Swedish cars. I repaired cars for 10 years then became a Canon Copier Repairman. I did this for a year then accepted a position as a Biomedical Engineer. I worked at a Children's Hospital where I came to the conclusion that I wanted to be on the other side of the equipment. I returned to school to get a degree in Nursing. In order to be able to become a nurse I reopened my car repair business. It took 5 years, but I finally received a BSN in nursing and I am now a Pediatric Home Care RN. I do upholstery, woodworking, and pen turning as a stress reliever. I have expanded and now I am doing more wood turning and beginning to get into flat work.

Welcome Cindy. You have found the right place for woodworking. A great group of people willing to help. Looking forward to see your projects and comments. That is quite a background. Work safe in the shop and don’t forget to use pushsticks.
