My Mom and Dad have an old fern stand that we got from the old farm. I’ve always like it. I think it’s the simplicity of it that has always appealed to me. I don’t have any picture of it, only the ones in my brain and I haven’t come up with a way post posting those, yet.

So I called Dad Friday night and asked him to send be the basic dimensions, LxWxH, so that I would have a sense of scale. He emailed the dims late on Friday night. Perfect because I was hoping that he would so that I could make the 2 hour safari to the local hardwood mecca for some QSWO. I was planning on leaving Saturday morning it is accured to me, “hey dummy! You’ve got about 300 bf of walnut in the garage that must go down to the shop so that I can clean up the garage. Why not use that?”

So the journey has begun.

Here’s a pic that I found on the web. I think all of the these types of fern stands all look pretty much the same.
