Turns out Brandon (LJ Member bhog) and myself don’t live very far apart. He mentioned to me that he was cleaning up his shop and offered me some cherry and walnut scraps.

So I went by his place after work last night. It was great to meet him, and I am thrilled to have some new material to work with. Thanks Brandon.

Not only did he give me a the scraps, he also gave me these nice cherry boards.

and this walnut board.

This is a great community to be a part of. I love it when you get good wood from friends, it always turns into something wonderful.

Great deal for you. A lot of us probably build up ‘scrap’ that we can’t use for the projects we like to do. We could shift gears mentally and find a use for it. I like what your new friend did for you. You got wood and he has room to buy some more!

-- Robert, so much inspiration here, and now time to work!!!
