Hi, I’m Chrisysue. I live in Grand Rapids, Michigan. I just turned 57 last week.
I have a lot of hobby’s, Jewelry making, knitting, sewing, photography, and woodworking.
I’ve been learning a lot about woodworking over the past 17 years,
ever since I met Larry, my fiancee’. He is an amazing woodworker, we work together on
all kinds of wood projects, it is a very rewarding pass time.
A couple weeks ago Larry got an amazing deal on a router crafter, on-line.
He had a router crafter 18 years ago,
(that’s a different story for a different website in itself) . LMAO….
Any way, Its been a lot of years, since he had one.
We don’t have any plans, projects, or patterns for the router crafter.
Is there anyone who could help me find some patterns or plans, that show and explain
some of the designs the router crafter can do. I have looked many different places and I
have only found a few pictures. Perhaps someone could post a web site that will have
some patterns/plans for sale or free.:)
I pretty much know what I want but I don’t know the proper terms for what I want to do.
We are making a walking stick for my Doctor. It will be about 5’6” tall , it is going to twist apart
(like a pool stick) for connivance, it will have an optional ice pick on the bottom. (for winter,
when the rubber foot is not being used) A silver troy oz. medallion with a sarcophagus inlay-ed
on the top, which I think Larry is going to hand carve, a ball/claw foot, or an spherical,
diamond cut top. The upper mid section will be (oh what do you call it, they do it to gun handles)...
checkered…. that’s it. Part of the upper mid section will be checkered, so it has a good grip.
The rest of it, is to hard to describe not knowing the right terminology.
My plan is to post step by step pictures here, and blog about our progress (i’m not a blogger)
I’m not a blogger, I told you that right?? I’m sure I did, lol I’m a babbler, as you can see.
Anyway, help me please ….... I already have cabin fever, and its only January.
OK, that’s all for now, I have my fingers crossed,
that many, many of you will respond to my post.
Thank You, Chrisysue.
