I'm a Jack of all trades, Master of none...

Married to a wonderful woman that puts up with my dumb ideas. Such as the 1867 Colonial Farmhouse we are renovating. I work full time (plus some) for the US Coast Guard. I'm a wheelchair road racer and have completed literally hundreds of road races, 13 marathons including the 2014 Boston Marathon. Someday I want to pull out my log book and add up all the miles raced. I'm a retired Wheelchair Basketball player and skier. Including racing, my hobbies include scale model airplane building, woodworking and enjoying a good beer. Come on, we all have a beer fridge in the shop. Right? Every project is a new lesson learned.

I really wish my grandfather and I had got along as he was a Master Craftsman. But, in my misspent youth, we never saw eye to eye and he was gone before I matured enough to realize there was something there I wanted to learn. I'm the son of a contractor. Which makes me the Jack of all trades, Master of none. I know enough to get into trouble. Sadly, he's gone now,as well. I just hope I learned enough to survive the renovation.

I'm also the grandson of a North Atlantic Fisherman. Which makes me the Son of a Son of a Sailor.

All questions can be answered. I've nothing to hide.

Chris,
I see your from Framingham. We live in St Augustine now but we lived in Franklin MA and I worked at the GM plant in Framingham until the plant closed in 89. I ended up at the Saturn Plant in TN and moved to FL in 03 after I retired.
Nice to see your work here on Lumberjocks!

Son of a Son of a Sailor…. how awesome is that!

Welcome to Lumberjocks….

As a dreamer of dreams and a travelin’ man,

I have chalked up many a mile.

Read dozens of books about heroes and crooks,

And I’ve learned much from both of their styles.

Sudbury? I was starting to think I was the only one in Mass. I’m in Saxonville. About a mile from the Sudbury line.
