Sizes of dimensional wood in Europe - 0 replies
Can anyone tell me what the equivalent sizes of 1X and 2X lumber are in Ireland and the UK? Here in the US a 2X4 is 1.50×3.50 inches (38.1×63.5mm) commonly 96 inches long, 2413mm. What are the common board sizes available across the Atlantic? Also, what are the most common species of wood? Thanks for the help. Chris

If anyone local to the Atlanta has a small band saw that they have out grown, we can give it a new home. We could also use a small drill press and table saw. Thanks Chris K. a...

I am building and Arrow of Light for my sons cub scout pack. The Arrow of Light holds 7 candles, one for each virtue of a good scout. Have any of you discovered a good hole size and shape for the 9” long taper candles? Thanks Chris
