Table saw Top - 2 replies
My cast iron delta contractor saw top is a brown and grungy looking. Its NOT rust because I have already cleaned it and do so on a regular basis (plus apply protection spray). I want to make the top nice and silver again. Would sanding it do the trick? Or should I use some kind of chemical?

So my question is would it possible to build a surface drum sander using a motor like that? I don’t want to buy an induction motor.

How to make or get custom profiles? - 3 replies
For a while now I have been interested in getting or making custom router (or even hand plane blade) profiles. I want to make designs on the edge of the things I build that are custom looking but doing it by hand is not really an option. I am not good with hand tools (although I engrave writing with chisels). Any ideas?
