After putting up with Ni-cad battery’s for the last 20 years it is a pleasure to finally own an 18 volt Lithium Ion drill/ driver. I chose the Makita LXFDO1Cw on Wood magazine’s review. The drill feels comfortable in your hand ergonomic and all that Fahrvergn├╝gen jazz. The motor is full of torque and has plenty of power. I have seen a few reviews on Lumber Jocks ware the reviewer posted a review on a tool that has been owned for a few years and I thought, boy that makes a lot of sense. This is an easy review as I have used this sander for years in cabinet shops but I haven’t got around to buying one for myself. I bought this tool to cut jams while installing some hardwood floors.Not much good to say about this tool.For one thing the blade will not stay tight I had to re tighten it more times than i can count.It is under powered, won’t even continue cutting through soft pine casings.The exhaust is in a ridiculous place it is so close to the grip that you burn your hand while starving the motor of cooling! $90 HA! took it back the same day no second thoughts about this one!!!!!
