First I’d like to give Martin a nice Big Thank you, for this gift.

I’d been planning on buying a miter gauge for my Rikon bandsaw,

so I did some searching, & found this.

Clamping Miter Gauge

MLCSmitert-fence

Useful and accurate when making crosscuts or routing end grain on table saws. Squeezing the pistol grip engages a downward pressure clamp, securing your stock firmly in place. Fits any standard 3/4” x 3/8” miter slot. The positive adjustable stops at 90º and 45º, left and right, are useful for both left and right tilt table saws. Includes adjustable stop block, great for repetitive length cuts. 4” Maximum stock thickness. Bar extends to 12”.

Clamping Miter Gauge #9456 …...................................SALE $44.95
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I had $5.00 left, so I ended up buying one of these for $149.99
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
It seems kind of funny, buying the cheaper item first,
but I’m a Lumberjock, & I don’t care.
Here’s an encore, if you can stand it. And Thank you again Martin!

Thank you Adrian!

I just unpacked the sander, & it looks pretty nice. I’ll report on it after i’ve used it awhile.

The miter gauge looks well built. I plan on using it on my router table also.

Thanks Grumpy, & Karson!

But Debbie, it was on sale! <(:O)

Martin, Thanks for the kick start, I hadn’t bought a new tool for quite some time.

Hi Dick;

Don’t give up your day job. Singing and songwriting is best left to the professionals. lol

That looks like a Shopsmith miter gauge.

Your $5.00 balance pretty much forced you to buy the other tool. Makes perfect sense to me.

I go to the big box store to buy screws, and end up leaving with a couple new cordless drill / drivers, to add to the other ten I have. What’s irritating about that is I often forget the screws. DOH.

Lee, thanks for being so truthful.

I have to mention one thing. Lots of times I show Barb a tool I’d like to have,

& she says, why don’t you buy it.

Most of the time I back off on it, because I feel guilty, because of her generosity.

She’s such a SWEETHEART!

Me too Dick, Kris is so giving she always talks me into buying new tools. Great looking goodies you got there. That sander should come in really handy, with all those little carvings you do. I’m with Lee I understand completely, having 5 bucks left over why you had to buy another tool. Nice miter clamp.

Man, now that is a bee-yoo-tiful song… brings a tear to my eye. ;-)

I love how the $5.00 left over justified a $150.00 purchase, mark of a true Lumberjock.

Maybe the government should give every woodworker in the USA a $50 dollar gift certificate,

& they’d go out & buy something for $200. This could kick start the economy. LOL

Why didn’t you accompany your singing with that guitar you built?

I haven’t been able to make a guitar that plays by itself, besides that I don’t think I should ask my son to lower himself to that degree, to accompany me.

Hi Dick;

I just now saw this idea about giving every woodworker in the US $ 50.00 for a new tool!

Your probably spot on about the results.

I’ll call my Congressman. lol

Hi Lee,
Maybe we should change the amount to about $5ooo.

It would be much cheaper for the government, & more effective than giving it to the big banks. LOL
