I want to show everybody how proud I am of the accomplishments of one of my Sons’. He works for a floor installer, & finishing company. He’s there sanding specialist. Especially when it comes to the meticulous areas around stairways, balusters, & radiators. It takes a person with an awful lot of patience, & perseverence. I don’t beleive I have that much patience. He says ”He always enjoys the outcome of his labor”

I used to tell my Boy’s as they were growing up, that when you do something that others will see. “Make sure its good enough that you wouldn’t be ashamed to sign your name to it.’ I think both of my Sons’ are following my advice.

This is an installation they did last winter.

It’s 36” Stained Ash parquet. with a Cherry border.

Wow, spectacular! No expense spared there, Dick. You have a right to be proud of your sons. Been looking for the signature (LOL) but can’t find it yet.

Hi Dick;
—-your son has indeed done a very fine piece of work here! He must be very satisfied at the end result.

I used to do ceramic tile floors and wood floor refinishing till my knees gave out from all the kneeling and up and down. I used to tell my customers that the beauty of a finished wood floor was all in the sanding process and it looks like your son knows this also. Once again, very fine job.

GODSPEED,
Frank

I was just informed by my Son that I made a mistake on the Wood type. So what do I know. When brain gives out the whole body suffers.
Stained Ash, with Cherry Border.
I hope you Lumberjocks will forgive me.

Proof positive that ash can look just like oak… not that it matters. the floor is fantastic. what an upgrade from the off the shelf oak parquet that came with my kitchen!

They had to buy a special orbital sander for this job , because of the multiple grain direction.
