One late Sunday Afternoon while visiting our son who lives in Hot Springs AR. My wife, and I took a jaunt down to the local shopping center. I dropped her off at a Book store, and promised I’d pick her up at 6:00. I went to the big Lowes, & I wandered around the store for awhile, and finally ended up in my favorite area, The Tools. I combed the aisles until I came upon a large tag. Dewalt Model DW 625, $125. the regular price had been $325. I was looking it over, & I noticed the time, it was 5:55, so I headed out the door not wanting to be late in picking up the Mrs.
As soon as I picked her up we went back to Lowes. The doors were locked with sign saying CLOSED at 6;00 PM on Sundays. What a disappointment.

The next day I was helping my Son, with his sign business, & we were driving past Lowes. I asked him if we could see if the Router was still on sale. We went directly to the Tools, & what do you know They had the price marked down to $100. They only had two left, so my Son called a friend in the construction business. He told my Son that his salesman was in the store, & he called him right away to pick one up.

That was one time it payed off, & not be late to pick up your wife.

Since then that Router has been one of the busiest tools in my shop.

Nicely done Dick, one thing I learned after a long hard day in my shop…I need a new router. But hey, wood work isnt how perfect your work is, it’s how well you hide your mistakes.

Shawn, That’s what my 7th grade shop teacher said.
