I took several cabinet making & carpentry classes in college. Never did much with it. But I always has a dream/goal to have my own shop.

Well, dreams do come true! I am in the process of starting to build that shop in our 2 car garage! I have purchased most of my tools from Craig's List. So, I have done this on a pretty good budget. We had our Kitchen remodeled, and I kept all the old cabinets. I'm sure it will take me a bit to get things the way it needs to be. But the process is half the fun, right? Looking for any help/advice I can get.

Welcome. You have found the right place for woodworking. A great group of people willing to help. Looking forward to see your projects and comments. Work safe in the shop and don’t forget to use pushsticks.

Thanks for the warm welcome… I truly appreciate it. I will post some pics of my garage, tools, and what I’m working with, soon. I will be looking for advice. But to start, I have limited space. I am looking for space saving ideas and solutions.

Thanks again!

Welcome to Lumberjocks. The projects are an inspiration, the information is priceless and the people are supportive. The only problem is, the site can get addictive.

God Bless
tom

I am in the process of cleaning & organizing the mess that will be my new shop. This will be my first project. Of course, it will actually be several projects that will add up to the 1 big one. Lots of work to do here…

Welcome to Lumberjocks Chef. It took me a while to get my own “Lil shop of Wood” as well. This is a great community and very inspiring especially for myself.
