I updated my tablesaw stand from 2×4s to a metal one made out of an old bed frame I got for free on craigslist. THe only cost in this project was the wire I used in the welds. Nothing like a fun usefull free project.

Dog House

Here is a house I built for my dog. It isnt along the lines of furniture or craft wood working but is wood none the less. I made it out of 1/2 inch plywood then a layer of insulating foam and an outer shell of fiber board then trimmed with cut down 2×4s.

1×4x8s were double the price of 2×4x8s so i bandsawed the the 2×4s in half and used them as trim. I cut 2×2s too which were more than 2×4s

The whole thing cost 150 because of the timed lighting and shingles. I made plexi glass windows and hadnt installed them at the point I took the pictures but they are in now and are trimmed with a white baseboard trim it looks pretty good. It weighs more than me and I am fat. The roof is removable for access and portability.

My dog loves it (or uses it because its the only one in the yard) I threw a few blankets in there and it stays pretty warm. I bribed her to go inside with food for the picture.
