« Part 1: Outdoor Bench Part 2 of Future Projects series no next part

I am a board game geek. I love board games, but not your monopoly or sorry. I play what is know as European board games. They are much more advanced and have deeper themes. These games have many pieces and need a lot of space to play. Because of this I have decided to look at some table that others have built and take what I like and make my own. So far these are the features I enjoy and I hope to be able to build this table for myself soon. I have put in a lot of nice touches such as dovetail corners and notches I would have to use my router for everything to nestle nicely together.

Nice setup for Settlers…

Have you considered a table with dedicated storage and organization for your pieces? Another thing is to duplicate a gameboard you know doesn’t change on a few slabs, so you can double up on the number of games you can utilize it for, as well as a slab top for a normal table type usage…

You probably have, but the pics don’t show details like that as well…

I have thought about that but I have so many board games making dedicated storage for just a few of the games seems not such a good idea. I did design two drawers into this table to store some of my favorite board games in their boxes but nothing dedicated.

I have thought about making a board game holder for another of my favorite games though. Its called Carcassonne and would really be nice to have a table that could hold the pieces in place.
