I painted my car’s trunk white so my walnut samples would show up better, but, alas, its the camera (not the operator) that is inefficient. Sorry, I havent blogged lately but have been trying to catch up. Ive given up on pics until I get a different camera! I now have a car that’s 2/3 & 1/3!!! Now the thing Ive discovered while trying to sand/plane 50+yrs off my slabs is: This 2x workbench is not up to the task of full-blown wood working that I’m faced with. Just trying to clamp these 1×4s to the top was an act of frustration. So as ususal, I’ve spent the last 3 wks reading/studying everything I can get my hands on about the perfect Workbench. have given myself a crash course in benches, decided on a plan, and started a near riot at HD store about square or round bench-dogs. Ive read some good ideas here at LJ but I’m open to more. Boon, it takes two hands… say hello to my Glidewell cousins in Newbern.

Pick one, take the plunge and build it.

I looked for local people in hopes of finding some folks that like LJ might be around here, and newbern is cool with me.
