This “little” project is one that most people jokingly refer to as “my dowry,” as I actually asked my then future father-in-law for his daughters hand. While I had no intentions of using the deck for bargaining purposes, it was an excellent project and the reward was certainly worth every minute of it :-)!!
Just to start this off on the right foot, basically what we started with was this:


So as you can see from the second picture the previous deck would just not do. I wouldn’t say we are extremist but in Texas Bigger is ALWAYS better. So over the next couple of weeks I will try to get up all the pictures documenting the build. I will be the first to admit it really did turn out WAY better than I expected and I think you too will be surprised.
