Jet Cabinet Saw

Jet Cabinet Saw

I bought this table saw in March and I thought I would review it here as you have to do some digging to find reviews on this saw. The only other I found on this site was by Walnutz, a few months back. I have a blog with pics on the arrival condition and assembly on the saw so I won’t go into detail on that except to say that the saw arrived in absolutely perfect condition neatly on a pallet and shrink wrapped. This is my first true cabinet saw but in my research of and looking at the ma...

I just bought this tool the other day specifically for one project, used it today for the first time, so this is an intial impression review and time will tell how it holds up or what other uses I may find for it. I bought this Wixey planer readout a few months ago when it was on sale for $40, normally i think it is priced around $70. Had I known how nice it would work and how much time it would save when milling boards I probably would have gotten it sooner, though I am glad I waited to get the one with decimals and fractions displayed. It was easy to mount on the DW735 planer by just following the part of thedirection sheet for this particular planer. I have used this digital read out si...

I bought this saw a few months back because I needed better accuracy than my old RAS could deliver consistently. I did a bit of research comparing models, prices, sizes, and I liked the feel and action of this saw the best, as I didn’t really want or need a 12 inch miter saw if I could get one in the 10 inch range that could cut a dimensional 4×4 if need be. After using it for crosscuts, bevels and miters over the past few months I can say that I am really happy with my p...

Great & Quiet Portable Belt Drive Compressor

Great & Quiet Portable Belt Drive Compressor

1856 days ago by Cato | 9 comments »

When I discovered that my loud old direct drive unit would not supply enough air to run my new framing nailer I started searching for a portable belt drive replacement with a 4 or higher CFM @ 90 PSI, which is supposed to be adequate for framers. I wanted a belt drive because I knew they were quieter, and I couldn’t stand the noise of my old one. I searched on the web and found this compressor to be highly rated by contractors, and it was supposed to be very quiet with plenty of pow...
