no previous part Part 1 of TS upgrade series Part 2: Prepping for the new table saw »

Long story short I have ordered a new table saw.

Jet/Powermatic sale was on last week, and I took advantage and ordered a Jet Xacta Deluxe w/30” fence.

I can’t say that I have to have it to cut thicker wood or mine is badly broken or anything cool like that. I basically just wanted it and so I excercised my right as a consumer and bought it.

I have been pretty satisfied with my Ridgid saw after I put a better fence system on it.

Have had some trouble recently with maybe some sawdust built up in the trunnion that I will only be able to see when I remove the top.

Trunnion is dragging when I set the bevel and the bevel is not true. Will fix the Ridgid and probably sell it once I get the Jet operational.

Will post a pic when the saw arrives, and again when I finally get it put together. Have to run a 220 circuit for it and have ordered a mobile base.

I like your attitude; you wanted so you bought. No guilt, no attempt at justifying it! Way to do your part to stimulate the economy, and awesome saw choice!
