Re arranging for better workflow

After a new fence install on the TS today I decided to move my shop equipment for a better workflow.

So basically cleared out some room in the garage bay so that I could get the planer and jointer side by side so I don’t have to move them all the time, and moved the TS across the room.

I think I will like this set up better even though I will have to stretch a hose from the DC over to the TS while I see if this set up will be fairly permanent. If so then will have to go over head with some DC piping.

Here is the bay I opened up.

And here is a view from the back of the shop.

So I think this will be a good shop layout for flow, and if I have to I can put the planer, jointer, and TS over in the other bay if I have a large assembly, which is fairly rare, but you never know.

Nice set up.

Is there some kind of formula you use for the DC piping? I ask because the local WoodCrafter store warned me about losing X amount of suction on corners etc.

Shop looks great!

Is the TS a little tight to the wall for sheet goods or longer cross-cuts? I had to turn my TS 90 degrees so the pillar in my garage wouldn’t interfere with wider stock – I found out the hard way when I was all set to make my cut. Maybe you roll ito ver some – my bad eyes cant make out if it’s on a mobile base or not. :)
