I’ve purchased this saw ‘cause I owned the past model. It was supposed to be a big improvement. Surprise!!!, the main table was broken at the back, right where the Allen screw holds the saw’s main axle!!!. I’ve sent it to the service center and they kindly replaced the table at no cost…’cause the saw was under warranty still. I’ve seen the saw had a problem. It wouldn’t stay vertical, I mean it wasn’t cross cutting vertical, there was at l...

Hi guys, I’ve just bought this machine and some 1/4, 1/2, 3/4, 1” chisels and bits. I have to say that it does an excellent job. Also, is not heavy. I’ve put it in a Powermatic mobile base for Bandsaws, and it rides great. It’s tilt table and all the little features in it makes it easy to work with on all kind of different projects. Would I recommend this machine to you guys?. I would say yes!.

I will continue re...

There is a pin that holds the spinning system to lower and raise the shaper, and it broke when trying lowering the mobile system. After hammering the pin out of the hole and inserting a nail for concrete instead, the Great One was ready to start chewing on wood. I thought it was going to make a hell of a noise, but… Surprise!!!, the Great One is at least 60% less noisy than my 1.5 h...

The Monster

Needing to plane more than 13” boards and deliver better quality, I’ve bought this planer. I have to say that is a real ” MONSTER ”. I putted through a 1 foot x 1” x 3’ Jatoba board and planed down to 3/4”, with only a 1/4 of the noise my 13” Rigid planer would make. I got magnificent results and I’ll be doing the wider boards this week. If you are on the look for a wider capacity planer, consider checking these reviews every week ‘c...
