Here I show my newest adition to my shop, my homemade vacuum system. The video is in spanish but If you have any questions feel free to ask :)

The dust showed is from 2 weeks or so of ocasional woodworking. As you can see, the vacuum bag is almost dust free, and the machine keeps all his power

I really recommend trying this thing

It adds strengh to the bucket, and also helps the dust to settle down

I applaud your ingenuity. Might it be helpful if you glue a plastic funnel upside down on the center of the plywood ring and added some more openings around the outer edge of the ring?

It’s an idea that’s been kicking around in my head and honestly, it would be easier for me to watch your experiments than to do it all myself. I’ve never attempted to post a video. But I would be interested in building the version you think works best.
