no previous part Part 1 of House portrait series no next part

A month ago, my wife asked me to paint a picture of her parent’s house. I’ve dabbled in acrylics and oils in the past, but I am on a scroll saw kick right now, so I suggested to her that I cut a portrait of her parent’s house instead.

She wasn’t so sure since I’ve only been scrolling for about 4.5 months. Because she loves me ;) she trusted in me.

I ordered Coyote Stencil maker and made this pattern from a photo she took of her parent’s house. I printed it out at 11×8.5 (inches), took it to the local print shop and had them enlarge it to 16×12. I glued it to 1/8” plywood and started cutting. This will be the most complicated thing I have done so far and I am pretty excited.

The first pic is the original photo, the second is the pattern glued to the wood.
