I've enjoyed wood working since my first exposure to it over 30 years ago and now have my own shop. I initially focused on segmented bowls and other lathe items, however, as I set up shop to support making them the tools just kept multiplying and so did my interests. So now with a shop full of tools and a big stack of wood I can build almost anything but focus on smaller projects like cutting boards, picture frames, jewelry boxes and bowls.

Hi, I’ve seen a few members are interested in the bowl from a board build process. I will share the steps I used to make a dove tail segmented bowl from a board. The only tragedy I encountered on my build was on the lathe when it blew apart ...
