Hello everyone,

I have been thinking about wood working tools; I didn’t realize how many hand tools are still used today. I think its awesome that this heritage and culture is still alive to make truly hand crafted wood furniture.

I think there are two sides of woodworking. The first is that woodworking is a hobby and it is a good way to express creativity by building something that is stunning and pleasing to the eye. The second is that almost everyand home needs some type of wood furniture and needs to be built in a timely manner with in a custom wood furniture business So that the customer does not have to wait a long time to get the furniture.

How do we make quality hand made furniture and be able to produce it quickly. what hand tools do you think a modern shop should have?

Do you have any hand tools that are not known that speed up the process?

Speed and quality come with experience. You are more likely to to make a bigger mistake with a machine. You can can make a mistake with hand tools. It just happens at a slower rate :)

A custom made piece of furniture can take a couple days weeks or months. Not that turnaround time will not be important but a lot of times, the time it takes is the time it takes and people have to understand. Or pay a butt load extra.
