Hobby Woodworker, DIY'er, and aspiring Jack of all Trades. I learned how to do most of what i know by either being to broke to pay someone else, or too stubborn to want to pay for someone to fix or do something I knew I could do myself.
Woodworking is all my parent's fault, (my wife gets some of the blame too with all her "encouragement" and "project ideas" and the fact that she buys me good tools as gifts). One of my earliest memories is of my Dad holding a belt sander upside down while I shape my pinewood derby car on it. Plus I have a lifetime of watching This Old House and New Yankee Workshop to thank for giving me the desire to want to go into construction and eventually Architecture School.
"Before we use any power tools, let's take a moment to talk about shop safety. Be sure to read, understand, and follow all the safety rules that come with your power tools. Knowing how to use your power tools properly will greatly reduce the risk of personal injury. And remember this: there is no more important safety rule than to wear these — safety glasses." -Norm Abram

This is a recap of a project I did almost 2 years ago, but wanted to post it online and just got around to it now. My Wife and I have a room in our basement that was partially finished by the previous owners of our home. For the first year and ...
When I gutted the bathroom in my house I just couldn’t just hang the mirror on the wall again. Plus I didn’t want to drive the 6 mile round trip to spend $5 on a tube of Mirror adhesive only to use less than a dollars worth on a 24R...
