Quit smoking 8 months ago and took up wood working to keep me busy.

Since then I have been making furniture on the side. I have made a platform bed for my daughter and completed her room with a night stand and and end table with a drawing table w/ a library.

Instead of buying good wood for me to practice on I started using pallets and since i started using pallets i have built benches, tables and even a 400LB bar.

A cabinet shop went out of business near me and my father and i were able to go and give the man $60 and in turn we snagged about 5K worth of lumber.

I have equipped my shop with a Jet planer/joiner combo, Skil worm saw, Delta table saw, Freud and Bosch router, delta drill press, 17 Fox Shop band saw, 10" sliding miter saw and several hand tools and drills and sanders...etc...etc

-- With God's help all things are possible- even woodworking. Woodworking is not just a hobby, it is an (expletive deleted) expensive hobby.

Welcome to LumberJocks. Glad to have you aboard. †

I hope all the wood you snagged was not pallet wood.
