I cut down a recently deceaced maple tree from my neighborhood. I noticed it was dead this spring and offered to cut it down for an old lady. As soon as I started cutting it I realized It was in pretty bad shape. The center was spongy, and the upper part was hollow, but I think there’s some pretty salvagable wood in there. And from the looks of things It has really nice figure. Just wish some of it woulda been solid.
