Creative Edge Landscapes' Millworks Division was developed because owner Robert Livingston saw a need to save our urban trees from being "wasted". Trees need to be removed for various reasons; development, storm damage, safety, old age, etc. The lumber from these trees has more value than just firewood. The primary log can be made into beautiful lumber for projects such as a staircase, table, buildings, flooring and the like.
We collect the resource from our own landscape projects and local tree trimming operators. As a result, the types of wood we carry along with the cuts vary widely. All the trees are salvaged locally and contain volumes of character as each tree tells its life story in the grain.
Our facility also offers milling services for individuals interested in utilizing their own lumber resources. Contact us by phone 262.877.2805, via email contact@creativeedgelandscapes.com to speak with a representative or like our Facebook page (Creative Edge Landscapes) to understand more about what we do!

Thanks for the warm welcome!
I am a professional landscape contractor by trade. I started in the industry when I was 12 working for a local nursery and then took some time out of landscaping to do woodworking projects with a good friend of mine, Jeff Stephens. I have since gone back to landscaping, but the woodworking projects I have yet to finish keep resurfacing.
Since I come into contact with trees on a daily basis, I thought the synergy between what I do for a profession and what I like to do for a hobby could provide another means of keeping afloat in today’s new economic standards. I purchased a Woodmizer portable sawmill about 10 years ago and just completed construction on a kiln drying operation. I use the lumber produced on my own projects and have recently begun to sell the excess. I get new logs in on a regular basis, many of them large urban logs with great character.
I’ll be posting some projects in the next couple days. I’m looking forward to tapping into some of the expertise I see in the project galleries already established here.
