I am a life-long woodworker and a professional engineer and quality manager. I prefer working with my own designs but I am not averse to building a project I find in a magazine. I found plans for a chest in American Woodworker and changed the size, added a lift-out tray, and added a routed pattern to the front face. Then I built several in maple, cherry, and oak to see which I liked best. I built an underlit table for a replica of a statue, The Flower in the Crannied Wall, that is featured in the foyer of Frank Lloyd Wright’s Dana Thomas House. The lit sculpture now sits in our foyer as well.

My preference is arts and craft style items but I also work with stained glass. I have a shop on Etsy, Fountainhead Woods, that I start in November of 2011.
