Spent most of my life in the criminal justice field, mostly as a cop and the last 11 years as a prison guard. Thankfully, I'm now retired and get to spend my time making sawdust, fishing and waterfowl hunting. In years gone by I use to have a circle of older and much wiser men to lean on for advice. Sadly with the passage of time, they have passed on to their reward. I am left to more impersonal advice, the net. Thankfully Lumberjocks is not that impersonnel. I've had contact with others and it' been very heartwarming to find others who feel as I do.
