About a month ago, Nick Ferry announced a drawing to celebrate his first anniversary as a YouTube woodworking content provider (FerryTalk). He had lots of nice items from Kreg, Fast Cap, Bessey Tools, Matt Cremona and others.
When the drawing was over, I was fortunate to receive a Remote Vacuum Control and a 2P-10 gluing kit, both from FastCap. I got the package yesterday around midday and by 1pm I was remotely controlling my shop-vac. This tool is going to save me a lot of steps around the shop. The shop-vac is the primary dust collector in my shop and it is not in an easily accessible spot so being able to turn it on and off remotely will mean that more dust will be collected.
Thanks again to Nick Ferry for the contest and for the woodworking videos he posts on YouTube.
