A couple of days ago I decided it was time to build a rack to organize my nuts, bolts, screws, washers and other fasteners. I don’t know how I got so many but man, they are everywhere. As I sort thru them I am listing them and anything else I either don’t need, use or have more than one of on ebay. So far I’ve listed over 75 items I think and still have more to go.
A couple of items are either rare or expensive like a Starrett calibrated master square set (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=170385469256&ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT) and two set of accuride 3601 drawer slides, that have a 241 pound load rating (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=170385468397&ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT).
Then there is destaco clamps, doweling jigs, and all kinds of other woodworking items.
I just don’t understand how I manage to collect all this stuff. My kids had better take their time and really go thru my stuff and rescearch how much it’s worth with I kick the bucket, or I’m going to come back and haunt them!!!!LOL Maybe I should start tagging it and writing it all down. I’ve got 2 girls and they think most of it is junk anyway. ” Daddy, what did you need that for?? What is it? Does it work?? ” Heard all that before.
Anyway, guess I better go sort out some more. Ya’ll go check it out. I had rather it go to a good home.

Actually that is a good idea to tag and mark the items. Think I would do that in a book to, ask I would buy a tool, date, etc. Then you can look back. I remember my Father going through organization, and then he came up with a really neat idea. He saved all of those jars my mom used to toss out. He ended up taking the lids off and attaching them to the underneath a shelf and then he would sort all of the items and place them in those jars and with a half a turn they held in place.

Actually, for my nuts and bolts, etc I use 2 liter drink bottle and cut them off at the top of the label and you can get from 5 to 12 pounds in one and they are really tuff plus the price is right. I also use them to mix stuff in the kithcen, freeze water and othe liquids and anything else I can think of. I drink a lot of diet soda.
